Allison started playing the Euphonium at age 10 progressing to the
trombone when she moved to secondary level education.
She attended the South Eastern Music Centre at Ballynahinch where
she received Advanced Tuition obtaining Grade 8 in 1985. She was
also a member of the Senior Concert Band at Ballynahinch and with
them, in July 1986 she travelled to London to perform in the Royal
Festival Hall.
In Oct 1988 Allison joined Newtownards Silver Band, starting out
playing Euphonium, then progressing several years later to play
1st Baritone.
Allison has held the position of Honoury Treasurer since 1992.
