Timothy 'Tim' Tew joined the band in 1972 in a learners class on cornet,
after five years he moved to baritone. During the period 1974 - 1980
Tim also played in the South Eastern Schools junior and senior bands.
Due to work and family commitments Tim has had a few breaks from
banding. However, Tim returned in 2000 to play E flat bass and since
this time has held several committee positions including vice-chairman
in 2006 and 2007. Tim also has the responsibility of taking care of the
uniforms and instruments.
